  2. The pain of changing all the jobs over to sa is understandable.
  3. Can 'it' be used to refer to a person?
  4. I don't have a domain setup.
  5. I want to make sure that by doing it this way I did not break anything that I don't know of yet.

  7. Delete old maintenance plan and re-create the maintenance plan.

The error disappeared. When I run select @@servername I do get VM-MSSQL-2008R2 returned however the original error persists when I try to execute the maintenance plan again.
