Thanks. If I need to boot from an installer or other drive I use the BIOS special boot menu, in my case F12 on startup. The Setup menu and Boot Options menu are still available.

As you stated you have your DVD Drives - and if you have more that one hard drive you should unplug the SATA cable not the power cable from the Drives Get the tools and the know-how at our Mac OS X section. If I use 0.3.2 or 0.3.3 it will at least act like it's going to load, but gets stuck on the screen with the all the dots. have a peek here I know there were dozens of us having similar issues with what seemed to be no results, so hopefully if you are having similar problems this will be helpful for you!

If its from DVD put your OSX drive in SATA 0 and the DVD drive in SATA 1, if its from USB make sure its in a USB 2.0 port permalinkembedsaveparentgive You could have just a loose cable so make sure that your connections are snug when you put them on.
